A downloadable game

Group Project Game Vertical Slice that was created within the third year of University for the Game Production Module. Luna is a Sci-Fi Third Person Stealth Shooter where you control a secret agent who must undertake missions to prevent further advancements in Artificial Intelligence Technology. This vertical slice covers a single mission/level.

Created In Unreal Engine 4.25

Gameplay within Vertical Slice:

  • Two Different Weapons: A loud weapon with higher magazine size, and a silent, more damaging weapon with a small magazine size.
  • Ability System: Two sample abilities (healing and cloaking system). Instead of a typical Mana system, the player has an "Overextension" value. Abilities cost overextension and can be used freely as long as the players Overextension value isn't above 100. The player can no longer cast abilities if their overextension exceeds 100, but can go above 100 overextension after using an ability at the cost of a damage penalty.
  • Stealth System: AI have a detection radius whilst the players movements and weapons have a noise radius that starts from the player. If the players radius and AIs radius intersect, the Ai detects the player.
  • Intel Pickups: The player can pick up intel which gives them hints to complete the level.
  • Branching Narrative: Mission ends differently depending on the players ability to traverse the level without being detected or killing anyone.
